Practical Information

The conference will take place in the Les Houches Physics School.

Accomodation: 

The attendants will be accommodated in single rooms, in chalets within the conference center. All meals will be served in the onsite restaurant. See this link for more information about facilities.

Registration fee: 

Participants are asked to pay a registration fee of 340 EUR upon arrival at the conference center. The registration fee covers the on-site accommodation as well as all the meals. More information can be found here.

Venue, departure:

The talks with start on Tuesday morning. Venue is possible as soon as on Monday after 15:00. Please have in mind that the school site is entirely closed before 15:00 that day.

Departure is expected on Friday after lunch.

How to get there: 

By plane: the closest airport is in Geneva, about one hour drive from Les Houches.

From Geneva airport one can reach the School of Physics by pre-booked shuttle service. Please book in advance, see for instance Mountain Drop-Offs and How to find Mountain Drop-Offs at Geneva Airport

More complicated alternatives include flying to Zürich and then go to Geneva Airport by train.

By train: arrival at the Les Houches station, with one change at Saint-Gervais (from France), or at Martigny (from Switzerland). There are about 10 trains per day between St Gervais and Les Houches (20mn trip). We then strongly advise you to take a (pre-booked) taxi.

An alternative is to go to Geneva Airport by train and then take a pre-booked shuttle service (as above)

Please be aware of SNCF train strikes planned for Wednesday and Thursday of the week of the conference. 

By road: Les Houches are easily accessible from France (A41 highway), from Switzerland (Martigny and Col des Montets) and from Italy through the Mont Blanc Tunnel. There are free parking places at the conference center.
